Breathwork is more than a technique — it is a path.
A way of listening, sensing, integrating, and meeting life with clarity and presence.
The Way of the Breath is a year-long, in-depth training for those who feel called to explore the breath as a transformative tool and to learn how to guide others safely and authentically. Over ten months, we dive into conscious connected breathwork, the nervous system, embodiment, sound, therapeutic presence, and the art of holding space. The training is both personal and professional: you grow through your own breath, and you learn how to support others on their path.
This journey combines theoretical learning, embodied practice, supervised facilitation, refined technique, and ongoing community support. You receive a structured reference manual, a reading list of essential books, and continuous guidance throughout the year.
By the end, you will not only understand breathwork — you will embody it.
The training is led by Antoon Walgrave, founder of Being Connected, breathwork facilitator, yoga teacher, and integrative body-based practitioner.
Antoon trained extensively in Transformational Breath, completing multiple levels of training, personal process work, and facilitator development within the school. Over the years he has guided hundreds of individual breathwork sessions and co-led advanced transformational retreats. Alongside breathwork, he has more than a decade of experience teaching yoga, with roots in Hatha and Iyengar-influenced traditions, and long-standing work with somatic awareness, trauma-sensitive facilitation, sound, voice, and embodied integration.
Throughout the year Antoon is supported by assistant facilitators, ensuring safety, presence, and individual support during deeper processes.
Because this training works at depth, participants are required to have prior experience with deep breathwork.
To join the training, you must have completed at least one immersive, multi-day breathwork retreat or seminar, such as:
The Way of the Breath (6-day retreat)
A multi-day Transformational Breath seminar or equivalent
This ensures that all participants enter the training with a lived understanding of the depth and intensity of breathwork.
From Friday evening to Sunday late afternoon, spread throughout the year.
Each weekend includes:
- Deep breathwork sessions
- Facilitation practice and guidance
- Nervous-system education and emotional physiology
- Working skilfully with overwhelm
- Sound, voice, and targeted yoga within breathwork
- Meditation, reflection, and integration
- Therapeutic conversation skills
- Theoretical grounding supported by manual and reading
Once a month, on Saturday mornings, we meet for:
- Peer practice sessions
- Study case discussions
- Supervision of practice sessions with others
- Refinement of facilitation skills
- Questions, reflection, and shared learning
These mornings create continuity, accountability, and depth.
Throughout the year, participants engage in guided home practice to support integration and skill development. This includes:
- Required reading and study material, aligned with the training manual
- Reflection on personal learning processes and emerging questions
- Practice facilitation sessions with others, appropriate to one’s experience level
- Short written reflections or reports on practice sessions
- Study cases brought into intervision mornings and immersive weekends
- This home practice ensures continuity between training weekends and supports the gradual development of confidence, clarity, and embodied understanding.

You learn by guiding and being guided.
You learn to hold space from embodied presence.
By July 2026, you will not only understand breathwork, you will carry it.
